Brooklyn isn’t technically any more important than it’s four sister boroughs, but it’s an expansive land made up of unique neighborhoods and even more unique characters. There are plenty of misconceptions about Brooklyn, but the biggest one is probably that any one part or person embodies the borough on the whole. Spike DDB, an agency under the direction of THE Spike Lee, made a short documentary with Brooklyn’s Chamber of commerce, highlighting this fact to celebrate the launch of “Brooklyn Made,” a program to certify goods produced in the area. Kinfolk was fortunate enough to be selected as one of a handful of participants. Check out the full doc below, which features cameos from our neighbors over at Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn Brewery, and even Spike Lee himself.
