Fall is finally here, which means a few things if you’re based in New York City: Firstly, “Summer Fridays” (if you were lucky enough to have them), have come to a bitter end. Friday afternoon day-drinking is now relegated to wink-in-the-mirror highballs concealed in that old reliable, if not slowly-deteriorating, McDonald’s cup. It’s also getting colder, which can be a welcome change of pace to covering up if you used your summer to stand in line for cronuts or drink 90 Wythe‘s when you should have been riding your Kinfolk (or some such lesser subsitute) out to the Rockaways and swimming. With fall, naturally, also comes a slowing of social activities, people needing a minute to get used to weather change, reassess their layering options and/or save some money to prepare for the impending year end layoffs. Just-kidding (hopefully)! But what if I told you that Kinfolk has a solution for all of the above? This weekend, on Saturday and Sunday we’re hosting another Dude’s Sidewalk Sale, masterminded by the young legend Jeremiah Mandel. If you’re new to the Dude Sale game, we have a group of vendors selling everything you need to improve your life (read: mostly really fly vintage clothes) and the whole thing takes places right inside of Kinfolk 90 Wythe, where we will have both coffee and alcohol in abundance. Past sales have had plenty of original, hand made treats as well as garments/footwear/accessories from Nike, Adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Visvim, Margiela, Versace, L.L. Bean, Bedwin & The Heartbreakers, Comme Des Garcons, Supreme, Flying Coffin, Rachel Comey, Engineered Garments and so much more. And please believe we have plenty for both MEN AND WOMEN. Not to mention, there’s always a grip of fly guys and girls browsing the racks so you might even leave with a date. Check out a gallery from the last one.
