Presenting The Kinfolk Summer 2014 Look Book
For Kinfolk’s Summer 2014 collection, creative director Jey Perie delivers pieces that fit into every story, especially the kind that end somewhere foreign to where they began. Expounding on the line’s mission statement of a modern, more tailored embodiment of classic American sportswear, Summer 2014 is for the ever ready. The collection speaks to the individual who bounds effortlessly between meetings both in and out of the office, to after-work cocktails to dinner with friends to partying well into the morning. They wouldn’t have a place to change if they needed to but they don’t, because they look the way they want to, and have since they got dressed in the morning.
The Summer 2014 look book itself takes it’s photo direction from Jean Luc Godard’s “Breathless,” along with the rest of his collaborative work with the great Raoul Coutard. Perie, along with photographer Jon Snyder, bring us through a day in the life of two young vagabonds attracted, of course, to each other’s style, but also to the energy of one another and where combining it will take them.
